At the ENT appointment, my left nostril was cauterized and we found out that it will not cause the surgery to be delayed. Then on to the ultrasound appointment, which we were late getting to but luckily it got rescheduled for an hour later. The ultrasound was to look for plaque in the carotid arteries. Dr. Shin should get those results later today. That's the only thing that might hold up the surgery. Kim, the RN, tracked us down at the ultrasound and gave me a notebook full of information pertaining to the surgery and the pre-op and post-op.

  1. OK. Now it sounds like you're almost all set for a green light. You sound eager to procede, and get it over with. Joan told me that her husband has had nose bleed problems because of a vein too close to the surface requiring cauterization. I guess that's what you had, and it's nothing to worry about, now that you had the procedure. You're making great progress already!
