Magenta Theater is a small theater company in downtown Vancouver, WA. Dave and I went there for the first time last night. Our son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kiersten, had been there before and joined us for the show. We saw "Present Laughter" by Noel Coward.
Here's a summary of the plot: Garry Essendine is a successful actor who becomes romantically entangled with two women, Daphne and Joanna. With much confusion and many misinterpreted events, things go downhill fast. Garry's friends, staff, and long suffering but separated wife, try to disentangle him and get his life back on course.
Small, intimate theater performed by local actors is always a fun experience. We will go back to this theater. Tim and Kiersten hadn't eaten dinner, so after the show we joined them at McMenamin's on the Columbia. It was a fun evening!

Ooohh, McMenamin's. You did it up right. And yes, little theater is such fun. Suzy and I were in several shows in the Butte (MT) Community Theater, loved every minute of it!
