Carol K's Journey

We arrived in Astoria around 12:45. It was a blustery day! Squalls of rain came through, along with wind. Dave didn't get a chance to play golf and I didn't get a chance to get any exercise. Instead we both took afternoon naps! Around 6 pm we decided to go out for dinner at Pig N Pancake. On the way to dinner, I saw a sign advertising that the Astoria Music Festival was beginning tonight. So we decided to exercise our minds and souls and went to the concert at the restored Liberty Theater in Astoria. We heard Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, the "Italian" and music from Verdi's opera "La Traviata". It was an enjoyable evening.
