Washington State Parks also has a senior pass which can be used during the off-season, October 1 through March 31, and Sunday-Thursdays in April. The pass is $50 annually and may be used to camp free in any Washington state park. There is a $6 nightly fee for a utility site. This pass is offered to Washington state residents who are 62 years and older.
Limited income seniors are not required to pay the $50 fee, and neither are the disabled, disabled veterans, and foster homes. Washington has some very nice state parks and many of them have full hookups and 50 amp service.
Our friend, Mary Jo, told us about this pass several years ago and we hope it won't be discontinued before we get a chance to buy one this fall!
