The first of my 3 meetings got cancelled, so I'm using the time to catch up on laundry from our trip. That is a big job, but it always feels good to get the motorhome all ready for its next trip. We have two more short trips planned. In mid-August, a weekend trip to Yakima for Dave to go to a state football referee conference, and at the end of September, a 3-night mid-week stay at one of our favorite state parks, Cape Disappointment. Yes, a trip in September! That's unusual for us because it's prime football season. Dave was able to carve out a few free days in order for us to make one last fall trip to the beach.
It's 12:45 pm now, and our thermometer reads 100 degrees. It's humid, too. Way too hot! Dave got the lawn mowed this morning at 7:30 and we got our exercising done inside while watching House Hunters. It makes the time pass more quickly. Now that we have a treadmill AND an exercise bike, we can both exercise at the same time and then switch machines.

Carol,
ReplyDeleteIn my email, I meant to mention that our "heat pump" is not keeping up to the demand, after all. It seems to be a little of 78 degrees in here now, though it's set for about 73. So I guess you're right, it's the nature of the beast.
