This snowbird lifestyle provides us with many blessings but some problems, too, just like real life. You can read Dave's blog to learn more about our latest problem--the refrigerator. With this motorhome, it seems like it's always something. The refrigerator not cooling is a major problem since we have to figure out how to quickly use up all of our perishable food. In addition, the plastic part that fastens the screen door to the motorhome door broke off this evening.
Yesterday, before we realized how serious the refrigerator problem was, Dave played some golf and I went for a long walk on the beach. It's so handy to be able to access the beach right from Pismo Coast Village RV Park. There's a fast-moving river that has developed between the park and the ocean, but there's still a big area of beach that skirts the river. It will be interesting to see how this river has changed by the time we come here again a year from now
The "river" is very fast-moving.
Another view of the river. I don't know how deep it is, but no one was wading through it.
These birds were too busy eating to admire the river ripples.
All the water attracts flocks of birds.
I like the beach and the ocean, but also the fantastic views back toward town and the hills.
Speaking of blessings, here is the latest ultrasound of our granddaughter. See her head? She's waving to us. Only about nine weeks remain until we get to meet her in person. What a cutie!
Sorry to learn of the “issues” you two are dealing with. It’s wonderful seeing the early granddaughter photo! Our church here at home just celebrated “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday” this past worship day. We heard some amazing, yet heart wrenching testimonies. The statistics in the U.S. are just incredible, 43% of all women will have at least one abortion in their life and many will have multiple. Your ultrasound photo is a very welcome sight!

ReplyDeleteSeems refrigerators are the bane of RV life. We have been very lucky with ours, and it's 10 years old. However, we have a little refrigerator in our casita -- very new, and the freezer door broke of a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to find the paperwork to see if I can order a new one.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures today; especially the last one!
ReplyDeletehope you get those problems solved very soon!
Beautiful grand baby. Love the pictures of the birds.
ReplyDeleteHey, I know that baby!! She sure is a sweetie. :) Sorry to hear about the fridge! I hope it's resolved soon :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't ultrasound just the most miraculous thing? Remember whe we had to wait until the doctor said, "It's a girl (or boy)?" My how times have changed. We "know" these little ones before they even put in an appearance. I bet you are super excited.
