Our son, Tim, and daughter-in-law, Kiersten, have officially announced that they are expecting a baby on April 10, 2011! This will be our first grandchild. Dave and I are very excited and happy for Tim and Kiersten.
Tim and Kiersten have been married for six years, and we have all gotten accustomed to coming and going as we please. A new family member will change things tremendously, but it is a change that we are all looking forward to!
Last year we left for our six-week trip on April 13. Not this year! We need to stay at home and be available to meet our new grandchild. We may take an extended trip in January and February of 2011 of instead of April and May. There aren't too many places to choose from when you travel in the winter, so we are thinking of going to California with possibly a side trip to St. George, Utah.
Congratulations! Little people are a great gift to us. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am sure you are both excited! Give our best to the happy couple.
ReplyDeleteYou'd be crazy to miss the big event by being on an RV trip....and I know you are NOT crazy. LOL The RV will be there always, witnessing the birth or being present at the hospital, well you only get one chance to do that. You all must be giddy with joy!
ReplyDeleteOur sincerest congratulations to you and Dave on the epectant grandparents. Of course our congrats go out to Tim and Kiersten as well. It is so nice to be in the same area to share this experience and time with Tim and Kiersten and to be able to help out where needed. No place in America is more important than what is going on now and the ability to be grandparents in the verb tense.
ReplyDeleteTake care and congrats!

Congratulations!!!!! I am so very happy for you & Dave. Our lives are crazy busy right now (with the puppy & Dakota in Sea Scouts) so I don't get a chance to check your blog very often. It was a happy surprise to read. Congrats again.
