Carol K's Journey

I tried again to read the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I first tried to read it 2 1/2 years ago, but couldn't get into it. This time I not only got into it but couldn't put it down. I read 2/3 of it last night and finished it this afternoon. The story is a grim one about the survival of a father and his young son in a postapocalyptic world. But something inside them keeps them traveling and searching and not giving up. No, I haven't seen the movie but will probably request it from Netflix.
