Dave and I arrived home on Friday, as planned. It's sad to come to the end of a fine trip, but good to be home, too. I am always raring to go again shortly after getting home. We've got some things to take care of at home, appointments, meetings, and people to see, especially our granddaughter Sophie, who will be three months old next Sunday!
On Tuesday we'll take our motorhome to Junction City, OR so they can take a look at a small crack under the bedroom slide that they fixed less than a year ago. It's under warranty, so I am hoping that they can fix us right up.
The last leg of the trip was uneventful, and the wind of the previous day had abated as we set out Friday morning. We came home to a cloudy day, but the sun came out as the day went on.
On the way home, we saw some good views of Mount Hood.
We enjoyed the scenery along I-84. It's hard to see the Columbia River in this area because of all the trees. In the next two pictures you can see the clouds that we are driving towards.
Thank you for following along on our Summer, 2011 trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks!
Glad you made it home okay! Now you can do some spoiling and get started on planning another trip!!
ReplyDeleteLove cloud pictures and those of Mt. Hood are really good. Glad you're home safe and sound. Good luck with the motorhome repair.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us with you on your trip,we enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIt was an enjoyable trip. Thanks for taking us along! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics -- we hope to find our way to that area some day:) Take care!
ReplyDeletewelcome home Carol and Dave!!..see you on Thursday!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home safe and sound. Nice pictures of Mt.Hood. Seems like every time we've been up that way lately, it's been too cloudy to see the mountain very well.
ReplyDeleteGive us a call when you're in Junction City. That's very close to where we live. Maybe we could get together and have a coffee or something.
We did enjoy following along on your trip...thanks for letting us hitch a ride!
ReplyDeleteGive us a call when you are in JC if you have time. We have a houseful of grandkids this week so are kinda stuck at home but we could share a sandwich in the backyard with you.
Mt. Hood has always been my favorite mountain, probably because I spent my first 10+ years in Portland, and my parents had a cabin near the mountain. We've enjoyed the trip with you, and look forward to tripping along with you some more.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your experience and your beautiful pictures with us. Now the planning begins. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip you have had, thanks for sharing. It's always good to be back home even if its just to do laundry and plan the next trip.
