Grayland Beach State Park, WA

IMG_7441

We are at another Washington state park where the off-season senior rates are $6/night.  This park has full hookups, but 30 amp instead of 50 amp.  We have a satellite signal, but a poor Verizon signal.

Yesterday it rained all day so we did a couple of errands in Aberdeen.  This morning the sun was shining and the temperature was around 50 degrees.  We drove south to Tokeland and the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation.

At Tokeland we visited the historical Tokeland Hotel.IMG_7407

Then we headed back north on Highway 105 and visited Westport, WA.IMG_7440

One of the highlights of Westport was a visit to the Grays Harbor Light Station.

After a walk along the harbor, we stopped for a tasty lunch at Bennett's.IMG_7439

  3. The only time we "visited" Gray's Harbor, I went by ambulance and Suzy drove our car smartly behind it in the dark and the rain, without really knowing where to find the headlight and wiper controls. Thankfully I was fine, just a little blip in my heart function. And Suzy got there in one piece, just a little frazzled by worry and the fast pace of the ambulance in the dark and rain.

  4. Looks like a nice place on the coast to visit and sounds like you got a bargin at $6 a night.
