A Walk on the Boardwalk

Tomorrow we are getting new carpet installed at our park model cabin in the Safari Park in Ilwaco, WA.  The hookups for the motorhome are in and paid for, and are working great.  It's nice to be able to stay in our motorhome while we get the cabin ready.  Next week the mattress arrives, and the week after that the refrigerator gets installed.  Things move slowly here at the beach!

The hookups may not be pretty, but they work!IMG_1520

There's not a lot of room for our motorhome next to the cabin, but we're able to extend both of our slides, so we're happy.  IMG_1521

The weather today started out foggy, but as the fog burned off, it turned into a nice November day.  I went for a walk along the Discovery Trail.  I walked on the boardwalk going north, and the paved trail going back south.  IMG_1474

Next to a portion of the boardwalk, a couple of machines were grading or dredging or doing something, but I don't know exactly what.IMG_1493

I stopped to see the display of a gray whale skeleton along the Discovery Trail.IMG_1512

  2. So nice to have that Discovery Trail right near by. I do hope those excavators have a wise plan, because it doesn't look too good at this point. But maybe something wonderful will emerge. What an adventure for you and Dave to be setting up in this new place!

  4. Once you get the park model all fixed up will you still take the motorhome or just drive up in the car? Seems like you have a good space there in a great location.

  7. You're making great progress on getting the park model all set up. And it is so wonderful to have a place to be comfortable while you're waiting.
