The update about the fall with my bike is that my bruises are fading, and the pain along my left side ribs is abating, except for during the night when it's hard to find a comfortable position while attempting to sleep. It reminds me of when I was recovery from open-heart surgery in May, 2009.
Our trip home from Yakima, WA was uneventful. We enjoyed the drive along scenic Highway 12 west to I-5 south. We even found a spot to park at the only rest area along Highway 12.
Rimrock Lake/Clear Lake
White Pass Summit (elevation 4500) is a ski area in the winter, and connects Yakima County with Lewis County.

We stayed on US Highway 12 West while talking about memories of past trips to Mount Rainier National Park and camping at the PUD parks Alder Lake and Taidnapam.
Now we're home for a while. Two of the motorhome's hydraulic jacks need to be repaired (seals?). We discovered a while ago that the jacks had never been lubricated when the motorhome was built. Dave's been lubricating them ever since we found out, but some damage was already done to the rear jacks.
The entire time we were in the Mt. Rainier area, we never saw her. Thanks for the gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteI understand that Mt. Rainier often has it's head in the clouds. How neat that you actually got pictures of it. Always something to work on when you own an RV.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the fall...glad you are recuperating. Thanks for sharing your pictures of Mt. Rainier...near our old stomping grounds. and you are not alone...neither of us like driving in/around/through Seattle whether in the car or the motor home. Glad you made it safely home.
